Meet Brendan

I have been hiking and climbing in the mountains since I was a kid and now that I have retired from a career in Air Traffic Control, I am able to spend even more time outside. I have been guiding since 2018 after passing my first AMGA exam and love having a way to share my love for the outdoors.

My favorite days of guiding are ones in which the clients come in as a group of friends, up in the mountains together trying something new. A group ascent of Mount Washington or a day of learning to ice climb with a group of friends always brings more energy to the experience.

I also like taking a person to the next level of their climbing whether it’s on ice or on rock. Taking a person on their first multipitch or leading someone up their first grade 4 ice climb is super rewarding for me because I get to help someone take their passion to the next level.

I live in North Conway full time and enjoy staying fit through climbing, running, and cycling. If mountain biking is your thing, I can show you the best way to spend your time on the bike.
